This April 19th and 20th, the New Mexico Consumer Wellness Conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza Albuquerque in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The vision of the Consumer Wellness Conference is to establish a community of empowerment and dignity.
There is a group that meets every Wednesday afternoon via teleconference to plan, and much assistance is still needed to put the conference together and to get the word out around the entire state.

UNM’s IDEAS in Psychiatry presents “Temperament, Creativity, and Blues Musicians,” a lecture by Dr. Hagop S. Akiskal and live music from New Mexico band Soulshaker.

Dr. Hagop S. Akiskal, Distinguished Professor of Psychiatry and Director of the International Mood Center at the University of California at San Diego, has studied mood disorders, temperament and creativity and some of the relationships between them. This lecture and the interview that follows will explore the emotional lives of Blues musicians within the context of his research.
DBSA Albuquerque is planning to attend the event. Admission is FREE although you will need to register before attending.
